London Borough of Harrow's consultation on the Draft Adult Learning Strategy will run for six weeks from Tuesday 6 May to 23:59 on Tuesday 17 June 2025.

Background

We provide an adult learning service, through Learn Harrow, which offers courses to help people build skills, find jobs, improve their health and wellbeing, meet others and get involved in their community.

Our new Adult Learning Strategy focuses on:

  • Helping more people learn English, maths, digital and job skills
  • Giving everyone a chance to learn
  • Supporting social inclusion and wellbeing through learning
  • Encouraging people to join in community life
  • Support Harrow residents to progress into further training or employment, thereby improving their quality of life

We want:

  • learning to be open, flexible and easy to access, with support like free childcare for learners where possible,
  • courses to meet local needs, and
  • businesses and other organisations to help us create the right training which provides skills and knowledge they need for current and future jobs.
