Pinner section update

Pinner section update – July 2026
The Pinner section of the Harrow to Pinner Improvement Scheme is now entering its final phase. New sections of cycle route, upgraded pavements and drainage improvements have already been delivered, while work along the Marsh Road shop parade has been completed and temporary barriers removed to improve traffic flow.
The remaining works will focus on Station Approach, Cecil Park and School Lane. Cecil Park will be closed from 29 July to 31 August to allow key safety and drainage improvements to be completed, including the installation of a raised table, security bollards and drainage connections. The final phase will also deliver new pedestrian crossings, additional parking spaces on Marsh Road, new planting and landscaping, resurfacing works and the final sections of the cycle route. Temporary traffic lights will remain in place until the scheme is completed.
We know these works have been disruptive and have taken longer than expected, and we'd like to thank residents, businesses and visitors for their patience. During construction, engineers uncovered unexpected flooding issues and inaccuracies in underground utility records that needed to be resolved before work could continue safely.
Once complete, the scheme will provide a continuous cycle route between Harrow and Pinner, helping move cyclists from some of the borough's busiest roads onto dedicated cycle facilities and quieter streets. Together with safer crossings, improved pavements, new planting and better public spaces, the improvements will make it easier and safer for everyone to get around.
