Consultation has concluded

Welcome to the Rainsford Close parking engagement page.

Harrow Council's engagement on parking issues in Rainsford Close Stanmore will run for six weeks from 21 April to 8 June 2023.

THIS CONSULTATION HAS NOW CLOSED.

We will update this page in due course.

Background: In April 2021 the council received a petition from the residents of Rainsford Close requesting they be omitted from the existing controlled parking zone (CPZ) (B) operational Monday-Friday 3pm–4pm and to be included in a new separate zone with extended hours of control to help address the parking problems being experienced in Rainsford Close.

The petition was considered at the annual Traffic and Road Safety Advisory Panel (TARSAP) meeting in March 2022. It was agreed to include Rainsford Close in the council’s parking programme for 2022-23

We are now consulting everyone who lives within the agreed consultation area to ask if they are experiencing any parking problems and whether they would support either:

• A new CPZ operational Monday to Friday, 8am – 6.30pm

• A new CPZ operational Monday to Friday, 8am – Midnight

An option will be given to extend the operational hours to include Saturday and/or Sunday for both the above options.

This consultation will enable the council to identify any problems and, if necessary, introduce appropriate measures which will help control and regulate parking by removing commuter parking and freeing up road space for the residents.

The aims of this consultation are to:

Inform the community and build awareness of the purpose and potential implications of changing the parking restrictions in Rainsford Close;

Undertake consultation on Rainsford Close that is meaningful, inclusive and transparent to understand the community's views on potential parking issues;

Use that feedback to inform any appropriate changes to parking restrictions in Rainsford Close;

Feed back to the community to let them know that we have listened and acted on the information they have provided.
