We want to give everyone an opportunity to have their say on School Streets in Harrow. We are particularly keen to hear the views of local residents, businesses, schools, pupils, parents or carers of pupils attending the schools, and those who have properties within the surrounding areas of the School Streets.
On this page you can give your thoughts on proposed School Streets as well as temporary School Street schemes that have already gone live.
Proposed School Streets schemes
We currently have three proposed School Street schemes at Earlsmead Primary School, St Anselm's Catholic Primary School and Bentley Wood High School for Girls. Please click on the school emblem below to find out more information about the School Street and give your views.
We do not have any current temporary schemes that have gone live, but we will update this page regularly so check back soon to leave your comments on proposed School Streets schemes.
Permanent School Street schemes
We currently have three permanent School Streets in the borough. You can view these on our Existing School Streets page.
What happens after the engagement or consultation closes?
Following the consultations, we will decide on whether to introduce the individual schemes, taking into account the consultation responses. Once a decision has been made we will write to all residents and businesses within the restricted areas as well as parents and carers of students at the respective schools. We will also publish the results on the individual School Street pages linked above.
New School Streets are initially introduced on a trial basis through an experimental traffic order. Experimental traffic orders are operational for up to 18 months and feedback and monitoring is carried out during the initial six-month period.
