Welcome to the Harrow Town Centre Masterplan engagement page
Harrow Council's engagement on the Harrow Town Centre Masterplan will run from Autumn 2023 to Winter 2024.
We would like you to fill out the survey below to tell us about your experience of the town centre, it will run from 6th October to 19th November 2023. The consultation is now closed.
These conversations will help us to create a Masterplan SPD (Supplementary Planning Document) which will set a clear direction for how we expect Harrow Town Centre to operate and function within the borough. The masterplan will help guide development and underline Harrow Town Centre’s role as the key activity centre in the borough.
The Masterplan will also:
Reinforce the town centre status across the borough;
Identify key regeneration projects in the immediate surrounding area;
Propose key streets and spaces within the masterplan area.
The masterplan will include recommendations on what the town centre should look like in the future, such as where new roads and footpaths could be introduced, new uses can be located and new meeting places can be created.
This engagement page aims to:
Create a conversation about what Harrow Town Centre should look like as a vibrant modern activity hub.
Inform people in the community and build awareness of the purpose and potential implications of the Masterplan;
Undertake consultation on the Masterplan that is meaningful, inclusive and transparent to understand everyone's views on any solutions proposed by the masterplan;
Use that feedback to inform any appropriate changes to the final Masterplan SPD;
Feedback to the community to show that we have listened and acted on the information they have given us.
Consultation on the draft Masterplan document will be launched in February 2024. Please sign up for project updates to hear about our progress and ensure you get to have your say on the draft Masterplan.
